Recently, a customer required large heat and corrosion resistant plates of steel, but at a reduced cost. Our solution? A high temperature and corrosion resistant alloy overcoat plated onto carbon steel. Thanks to some creative and innovative thinking of our experts, we were able to utilize explosives to bond a 1/8” Alloy C-276 coating to the top of thick carbon steel plates, providing them with the corrosion and heat resistance our customer required while saving significant costs compared to full alloy plates.
