Double Eagle Alloys works with qualified heat treating partners to provide processing services across a wide range of specialty alloys, stainless steels, carbon steels, and nickel-based materials. Our capabilities are designed to support the demanding requirements of industries such as oil and gas, aerospace, defense, power generation, and petrochemical processing.

Available Heat Treating Processes

  • Annealing – Softens material, improves machinability, and relieves internal stresses
  • Solution Annealing – Commonly used on stainless and nickel alloys to dissolve precipitates and restore corrosion resistance
  • Normalizing – Refines grain structure and improves mechanical uniformity
  • Quenching & Tempering – Increases strength and toughness in alloy and carbon steels
  • Stress Relieving – Reduces residual stress after forming, welding, or machining
  • Age Hardening / Precipitation Hardening – Strengthens nickel alloys and precipitation-hardened stainless steels (e.g., 17-4 PH, Alloy 718)
  • Case Hardening / Carburizing – Produces a hard, wear-resistant surface with a tough core (commonly used on 8620 and similar alloys)
  • Hardening & Tempering to Specification – Meets customer-defined hardness or mechanical property requirements
